My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms, although outdated and lacking proper air circulation at times, were always clean and comfortable. The pool was fantastic, especially for enjoying Dominican rum. However, there were instances of guests falling ill, possibly from the food or other resort areas, and constant pressure to attend a time share workshop. Puerto Plata is a beautiful location in the Dominican Republic.

On the upside, our room was spotless upon arrival, and we were greeted with a lovely gesture of champagne. However, the overall atmosphere felt old and musty, and obtaining basic amenities like an extra blanket was a challenge. The Air Transat representative was unhelpful, more focused on personal matters than guest concerns.
